Last night our card line Lost for Words was launched. It feels incredible to create these cards.
I would have died of disbelief (in a good way) if someone had handed me a card *specific* to babyloss after losing my daughter.
Or a Congratulations card, I mean after all- Jenna was alive for almost two weeks.
I have a plethora of sympathy cards, which I have kept, and have meant a great deal to both Pete and me. But our card line is more than just sympathy.
It embraces hope, infertility, miscarriage, pregnancy and infant loss, anniversaries and birthdays, cards for NICU babies and so much more. I hope you’ll have a peek at our card line, and please visit this blog on Tuesdays, to suggest wording for the new cards we will be releasing. We love to hear from you- all of you who have *been* there.
It is our hope one day that you will find our cards in stores worldwide.
Anyway, you’re here for the giveaway- and I’m so glad you’ve stopped by :)
I’m giving away a $20 gift certificate to our redbubble sites. This is a great way to stock up on cards for memory boxes, hospital baskets, NICU projects – the sky is the limit. There are also many many images in both our portfolios that are inspirational, hopeful pieces- with quotes and lyrics, which can be framed and hung.
To enter, please visit our card line and share your favorite or most memorable piece, and why (if you choose).
For extra, optional entries you can also do the following:
- grab a “Lost for Words” button for your blog (located on the Lost for Words site in the sidebar)
- join the facebook/ news page
- share this giveaway on facebook
- follow Small Bird Studios on Twitter
- tweet about this giveaway
Please leave a separate comment for each entry :) Thank you!
A winner will be chosen sometime later this week, best of luck to all.
Xx

I love the Not meant for this world card. So beautiful and such a beautiful picture and I love the quote because it reminds me we are all truly not meant for this world, my home and anyone who knows Christ is heaven, eternity with our Savior and that is where my children are. I have hope knowing I will see them again one day!

I love the mothers day section but if I had to pic just one card that really speaks to me its the “The Loss Of A Daughter.” The photo is just so beautiful… the messy yet gorgeous petals. I think the photo says it all.
I posted and shared on facebook!

It almost brought me to tears to see my words on a card today :)
You never cease to amaze me. What a beautiful project. ((HUGS))
Fran, how can I choose, I love them all! I am so excited to buy some! I think right now I love the “remembering her life, and your loss” card. The wording is just absolutely perfect! I want to chat with you and Carly on a bulk discount maybe if I buy tons of generic boy and generic girl cards for our berevement supplies at the hospital. They would go perfect with the bears and bracelets and boxes we make!

Fran, I’m not entering because I don’t want to take someone else’s chance at winning. Just wanted to let you know that these cards are beautiful and I have ordered some to include in my memory boxes. You and Carly did a great job! I’m grabbing the button also!
I loved the “Peace that passes all understanding” card, because at the end of the day so many women are left with no answers as to why their babies died. Or they are given answers that only lead to more questions, and those are left unanswered. Many never know “why”, and philosophically we can’t know “why”, so this card spoke to my heart. (I would love it even more if it said “surpasses” instead of “passes”, but I love it all the same!)
I am also a fan/follower on FB. (entry #2)
I just added your button to my blog. (entry #3)
I shared your card line on my newsfeed on FB so all my friends would see it. And I happen to be very popular. ; ) Sorry I am not on Twitter, but maybe sharing it on FB counts as a “tweet”??? (If so, then this is entry #4 for me) xo

Joy From Loving You is my favorite because it really sums up how I feel about loosing my son. I choose to let my love for him outweigh the yuck of loosing him. It’s hard work, but he’s worth it.
Thank you for these special cards.
I love the Peace and Strength for NICU babies. I agree with the fact that most people don’t know whether to send congrats cards or not when babies are in the NICU and so this could help bridge that gap. Wonderful job!!

I love the Celebration of Life cards. Something that so many people forget is that they lived. Their life is worth celebrating. Thank you Fran & Carly!!

I love the “Celebrating the miracle of his life” card….
My favorite card is “Wishing You Peace For Your Due Date.” My due date for two of my angels was just a couple weeks ago. I felt so alone because very few people acknowledged it. A card like this would have made my day.
I appreciate the “sacredness in tears” card so much…being a grandparent who has lost a grandchild to stillbirth, that quote means so much to me, I still weep tears of sorrow….
I love “All your tears are remembered.” It’s a sentiment that brings comfort to me when I feel like others have forgotten.
I already “like” SBS on facebook.
Headed over to grab your button for my blog now…
I love the rainbow one, we are always connected to heaven we just need a reminder sometimes.
I see signs from my Angels every now and then and just last night a love heart appeared on its own in the glass of our wood heater – we know its love from our Angel Boy. I posted a pic in Luminous Light group. I think this idea is the best ever as all the cards are directed at the way we really feel, not just the every day “We are thinking of You” xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I really love “A Baby Surrounded By Butterflies”. I think this card line is so important and beautiful.
I love the card from Bluebird Tuesdays this week- “Openings in Heaven”. It is just so beautiful and I have this quote on a plaque in our house. LOVE!

All of these cards are absolutely beautiful. Fran and Carly you both are unbelieveably amazing. I am truly honor to have met you under these most unfortunate cercumstance. (bowing my head to you graciously)
I am in love with the birthday cards to a child in Heaven. Those above all the other truly speak to me. I remember back in May I went to the store for a birthday card for my Shealy and I was in tars by the time I got to the counter to pay. THe lack of cards fitting my needs and the fact that it has been 2 years since I had and lost Shealyn was…..took a toll on me. anyways, i just wasnt ot thank you you both for coming together and creating this line.
Thank you <3
I am looking forward to getting some of the Baby’s Due Date cards and Offering Hope cards. These are the ones I think I will be needing in the near future. They are all beautiful, all very special.

I adore the card line. I wish that it had been open when we lost our little girl. But now that it is I will be saving up so I can buy some and put them in the memory boxes I am making for our hospital.
The cards are all so amazing it is hard to pick one. If I had to chose only one I think it would be Safely Wrapped Up. You guys are amazing. I can only imagine the feeling receiving one of your cards. Thank you so much for launching this line of cards there is definitely a need.

I love all of them but especially like the cards for siblings. My little boy needed something after we lost our daughter and this would have been perfect for him. You do such beautiful work!
I liked your page on FB :)
All of the cards under miscarriage, celebration of life, offering hope, pregnancy after loss, baby due date, Fathers Day and most especially infertility are my absolute favorites and are the most touching to me and my life. Its important to me that we celebrate the life of all 3 of our children, the two with us and the one that is in heaven’s embrace. At the same time its also important for me to recognize that I not only lost a baby my husband lost a baby also and is that sweet miracle baby’s daddy as well. These are perfect! I have been a fertility patient and continue to be, for the last 5 years and at this challenging time of all the therapy we are under to try and complete our family, these cards have the most feeling, the most emotion to them I have ever seen. I only wish that for my dear friends and family that went through fertility and pregnancy loss many many years ago that a card line like this existed for them. we are blessed to have the amazing spirits of CarlyMarie and Fran to bring peace, hope and love to our lives every single day! xoxo Stacy Liddick
