One of the best ways to spread the news about your blog, is having a cute little grab button.
I get asked from time to time what a grab button is!? In case you’re new to blog world, a grab button is a cute little ‘button’ that your readers can copy and paste into their own blogs. When people click on it, it takes them back to your blog. And believe me, your faithful readers will want to have your button, so be sure to have one! ;)
A few tips on creating your grab button…
- the average sidebar is 200 pixels wide, a safe width so that your button doesn’t get cut off on other peoples’ blogs is 180 pixels wide, but it can be as tall as you like :)
- use heavier, bolder text for longer blog titles
- adding a solid border makes your button pop a bit more
- make sure text is in a legible font
- you can use Photoshop or any photo editing program to design your button
- save your image as a JPEG, PNG or GIF file
