*This is different than installing a background and requires a tad more work, but I promise it’s worth every second!
1. Back up your template. For help with this click here.
2. Be sure to right click your header image {especially if you have a custom design on your blog right now}. Save the image to your computer and store it in a safe place. Backing up your template saves your entire design, but usually does not save your header image. This is just a precaution.
3. Download the code for the template you are desiring. Save it to your computer, there is no need to open the file.
4. Go to your Dashboard-> Design-> Edit HTML.
5. Click “Choose file” and select the file your downloaded from the template/ freebie page. Click upload.
6. THIS IS IMPORTANT. When asked to keep or delete widgets select “Keep Widgets”. You are safe, and all your sidebar content is still there :)
7. Save template & enjoy your new design!
