I was in Target late last night after a LONG day in Houston traffic, hospital visits and too-embarrassing-to-share-with-you moments. My ears were plugged up to Mumford and Sons. I usually don’t like to walk around in headphones in public places. I guess the first thought that comes to mind is rude? It was one of those days where I just didn’t care much what others thought. The guy behind the cash register could see the crappy-day-look written all over me. He asked me how my day was and after being vague but totally honest, he said something to me. Just remember, someone in the world’s always got it worse. While that’s not the best advice, it’s still good advice.
I think I’ll try to remember that as a new day begins. Sending big love to all of you.
