My name is Kate and I run a little shop I call “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” on Etsy. I’m a mother of 3, a wife, a homemaker, a graphic artist, a crafter, a wannabe chef/baker, party-plannin’ child of God. I’m thirty something and married to a thirty something year old architect, planner, partner, builder, DJ for the past almost-6 years.
We live a full, busy, blessed life—even though it is physically without our middle daughter. Hannah was stillborn in September of 2009 and she is the reason the shop even exists. She is the inspiration. She is the driving force in each and every thing I create. She has been the driving force in so many areas of my life since the day I lost her.
The crafting all began with making memory boxes and gifts for other hurting mamas and for hospitals without such items and turned into so much more. In so many ways it has become a ministry of remembrance and hope. It’s all about compassion and sharing each success with another hurting heart. I’m truly blessed and thank each and every one of you who has supported us along the way. It means the world to me and makes her light shine that much brighter.

I truly can not pic just one item that I love the most. The love for your daughter, Hannah, shines through in all of your art. I stumbled upon your Etsy shop a few months after losing my daughter and instantly fell in love with every piece. I am the proud owner of a blessing ring which you hand crafted with love. After having 4 living children, I experienced 2 back to back miscarriages which are unexplained. I have a hard time finding rembrrsnce things that aren’t gendered or with baby names as I didn’t get to find out the genders. I love what you have to offer.
I just lost my second daughter at 20 wks pregnant 3 wks ago. It was so hard to find out we lost another daughter as we have a 14 month daughter, Savannah, and I was heartbroken when I thought about all the wonderful things my girls will not get to do together. I had pictured Savannah getting to play dress up with her little sister. I saw the Berchtesgaden Adler Hand-Painted Floral Tea Set on your site and was so drawen to it. When I found out Savannah would have a little sister I could not wait to play tea parties with them. We would have dressed up, made an afternoon of it and enjoyed the simple things. Now it will just be Savannah and I as Kenley is an angel in heaven. That is why I love the set, it would so amazing to play tea set with Savannah as we talk and moarn and rejoice Kenley

I love the memorial candle holder and the ornament. Our sweet son was stillborn 6 weeks ago, and I have been looking for unique and beautiful ways to keep him with us.
