I’m Ashley, co-owner of RevolutionizeHer. Today I wanted to share with you a bit about what RevolutionizeHer is about if you haven’t heard about it already. We hope to see you around the blog soon – we’d love to connect with you!
What is RevolutionizeHer?
RevolutionizeHer is a community built around every woman who is self-employed, or hopes to be soon, and is looking for a place to share her story. This includes shop owners, bloggers, small business owners, writers, and other women who are living their dreams without the constraints of the corporate world. Whether it be to celebrate her successes, work through her struggles, build up an idea, get or give advice or just to get some encouragement, RevolutionizeHer is there every step of the way.
An amazing group of writers have teamed up for this project to share their stories on how hard, yet rewarding, being self-employed can be. These women are passionate about what they do and hope to encourage you to pursue your dreams of being self-employed (if you aren’t already). And more importantly, show you that you are not alone.
Why/how did RevolutionizeHer begin?
It’s pretty similar to how it started out now so not much has changed. But it started out as an idea that I had, hoping to find a way to encourage women to take the same leap of faith I did when I became self-employed back in 2010. I wanted to do more than I was currently doing on my own blog so I reached out to Megan to see if she’d help me get things moving. She agreed and we launched back in November 2011. We’ve been going strong since!
What kind of information can you find on RevolutionizeHer?
ALL kinds. Personal success stories, business and life management tips, inspiration, struggles, beginning stages of businesses, networking ideas, ways to expand our lives, and so much more. We have such a diverse group of writers on our team that there is truly something for everyone at every stage of being self-employed.
We also accept guest posts from people which allows us to bring new views and ideas on a regular basis.
How can you get involved?
Like I mentioned, we accept guest posts when we’re not hiring new writers. You can also connect with us on Twitter and Facebook. Also, if you have a burning question you’d like answered, let us know! We have a monthly Q&A post that features answers from all of our writers that choose to participate to answer questions that our readers have. [See last month's Q&A here.]
We hope to see you soon!
