I’m so excited to be here today, sharing with you my story, my work, my life, and my loves. Thank you Fran for having me!

My name is Tina and I am a wife, mother, jewelry designer, teacher, crafter, pinterest addict, wannabe runner, and many other crazy things! I have a little etsy shop I call Mama Mia, where I sell my hand stamped jewelry. This endeavor of mine started nearly three years ago. My husband and I were expecting our third and fourth children, identical twin girls, who we were so happy to be welcoming into our lives.

On April 25, 2009, I unexpectedly went into pre-term labor, and we were forced to say hello and good-bye to our babies, all in one day. My girls were perfect in every way, just too young. My world was shattered. Immediately after having Sophia and Ellie, I wanted so badly to have a piece of jewelry to represent my babies. I went into my studio and stamped their names on a disc. I wore that necklace nearly every day, and being able to touch it, to feel their names, gave me some comfort. Shortly after this, I decided to make my jewelry available to others; to other grieving parents like me, and to others who have not walked this path.

My work has come a long way in the past three years and so have I. I have come to accept what has been given to me. My girls, Sophia and Ellie, are a beautiful gift that I was trusted with. I wish everyday they were here with us, but that, I cannot change. I have accepted it, as well as one can. And having these three has definitely helped with that.

Through this journey, I have met many sweet new friends who I have relied on to get through my grief. We friends share a common thread that has stitched us together, the loss of our sweet, beautiful babies. Having these women in my life has blessed me in so many ways. For some of us, our losses aren’t the only thing that has brought us together. Some of us share the love to create, to capture beauty, to hold on to a moment. For all of us this looks differently, but we also love to share our work with others.
