Perspective

I usually don’t write about everyday life stuff. Like trucks breaking down, or flat tires or our leaky refrigerator. Because really, who wants to read about them?

But last week friends, was a week of serious faith-exercises.

In one week both our vehicles went caputs. Our internet was down for one full day. Our sink disposal broke. My scare with Baby Peach. And my all time favorite, my iPhone fell in a public toilet.

It took everything inside to not question what in the world is going on?

Life didn’t just happen last week, a tornado swept through our house and offered us a full course meal of rotten tomatoes.

And as all this is happening we are still getting our house ready to join the housing market later this month (surprisingly, almost there!).

I sat on the sofa tonight, with a pint of Blue Bell chocolate ice cream in hand. A baby girl bouncing inside me. No really, this little acrobat was doing back flips – she loved it:)

Life stretched us thin last week but we are here.

Alive and well. Healthy.

I had a little boy bring me books all evening to read to him. I tried to soak him up as much as I could. The more his vocabulary increases, and the more I can understand his jibberish turning into real words, the more I realize this beautiful child-like stage will only last a few more sunrises.

Perspective.

The truth is sometimes we just have those weeks that you can one day laugh about. Last week was one of them.
