On the night sweet Evelyn was born this miracle fell over Christian’s Beach. Carly’s email and pictures sent chills over me. Real life, visible chills. She says there has only ever been one other rainbow over the sand dunes at sunset in the four and half years she has been drawing names in the sand.
She called it Peach Rain and a Rainbow.
Looking at these photographs makes me think of my two girls together somehow.
We saw Evelyn smile for the first time today. I remember wondering what makes a baby so small smile, when we would see Bubby smile like this. When they are this age… days old… it always seems like they smile at things we cannot see.
And I believe they really do.
