I remember your tears.
I remember you doing lots of things, but mostly I remember you crying for me.
I remember the meals, the clean house, the visits, the flowers.
And the cards with a dozen too many words for me to wrap my brain around at that time.
But today when I think back, the thing that touched my soul then (and now) was seeing the outpour of my pain in your eyes.
I remember your tears.
And for that, we will always be friends.
Because tears say things we could never put into words.
And in that silent moment of tears, you carried my pain with you. You made my load a little lighter.
