Since I started making canvases over a year ago, I never felt right when people would tell me how much they loved my work. I really didn’t see the canvases as creative at all. I just thought they were pretty neat because they are these tiny squares that can be really awesome in a collage. But the idea was a mish-mash of things I’d seen and been wanting to do for years and years. It finally all came together but the idea hardly seemed to warrant compliments as if they were original paintings or something.
And as my shop grew and the orders were coming in, I began to run into some problems with the photograph ones. I started realizing that I couldn’t necessarily control where the vintage marks would end up, and a lot of the time it was right over someone’s beautiful eyes. So I’d have to make one, or two, sometimes three before getting them just right to ship off to a customer. I decided it just wasn’t worth it anymore, cost-wise. So… I will be doing a little tutorial on how to make your own photo canvases here in the next few days!
I will continue to sell the rest of the text canvases for a little while longer, but probably not after this year. So grab them while you can :)
But I’ve said all that to say this. I’ve begun doodling my favorite quotes and plan to continually add more. These are the latest additions to my little shop. I am pretty excited to see them in prints!!! My personal favorite is this one!!
The great thing about prints is that they ship super quick too! 2-5 days versus a couple of weeks!!
